Hugh Laurie

I recently (yesterday) received Hugh Laurie’s album, Let Them Talk. It’s brilliant. I played the whole album through at least four times today, I don’t think I could ever get sick of it. It seems a little unfair that he should have so much talent. The treetops outside my window, rather comically, were dancing in a slow breeze looking as though they were swaying lazily to the bluesy beat as I was listening to it. I think my favourite tracks at the moment are ‘St. James Infirmary’ with its sleek intro, ‘You Don’t Know My Mind’ and ‘Winin’ Boy Blues’. Also, I love ‘Baby Please Make a Change’ in which Sir Tom Jones makes an appearance. I could go on like this and basically list every song on the album, but I won’t, I think you get the picture! Thank you for bringing this music into my life, Tom! And thanks to everyone for all the lovely presents, it was a really wonderful birthday.

I’m really looking forward to the summer, I want to laze about and drown myself in great music for three months but I think it’s sad that I’ll be leaving school after such a long time with the same people. I’ll miss everyone. However, Year 13 has been my favourite year and I’m glad to be leaving on a high.

Roon.
